BOSTON (AP) — The Boston Celtics acknowledged the victims of this week’s mass shooting in Lewiston, Maine before their home opener. Boston players wore the warmups of their NBA G League affiliate, the Maine Celtics. The Celtics also donned a band on their jerseys in honor of the state as it recovers after a shooter killed 18 people and wounded 13 at a bowling alley and a bar there. The jersey band simply read “Maine” and was placed above their Vistaprint-sponsored logo patch. LEWISTON, Maine (AP) — The Army reservist who opened fire in a bowling alley and then at a bar in Lewiston, Maine, killing 18 people, was found dead Friday from a self-inflicted gunshot, ending an intensive two-day search that had the state on edge.Robert Card, a firearms instructor who grew up in the area, was found dead in nearby Lisbon Falls, Gov. DENVER (KDVR) — In the Denver metro area, crews are fueling up and preparing for the first snow of the season. “We’ve been watching the forecast all week,” said Nancy Kuhn with the Denver Department of Transporation and Infrastructure. “We’re switching gears now. We put the plows on the trucks that we’ve been using for other programs, and now we’re readying the trucks to plow tonight or address the roads in any way that’s needed." DENVER (KDVR) -- The final witness in the trial of Aurora Police Officer Nathan Woodyard testified Friday that the manner of Elijah McClain's death was "homicide."Forensic pathologist Dr. Roger Mitchell also answered "yes" when asked if the injuries that McClain suffered at the hands of law enforcement contributed to his death.
